How to Use a Gua Sha
Start by applying a face oil or serum to a cleansed face, neck, and décolletage. Using the principles of Traditional Chinese medicine, use a gentle hand to delicately glide the Gua Sha along the skin. The Gua Sha can be used for an at home treatment for the jawline, neck, cheecks, brows and forehead.
Jawline: Using sweeping motions, glide the tool from the chin, along the jawline in an upward direction.
Neck: Applying gentle pressure at the base of the neck, just above the collarbone, move the Gua Sha tool in an upward direction toward the jawline.
Cheeks: By gently applying pressure from the center of the face, move the tool outward towards the ears, being particularly cautious and gentle around the sensitive eye area.
Brows: Softly sweep the tool across the brow line, starting from the center of the face, moving towards the temples.
Forehead: Gently move the tool upwards from the brows towards the hairline.
When using the Gua Sha at home, we recommend using a delicate touch to prevent any potential bruising on the face. Avoid any tugging or pulling of the skin to ensure a harmonious and nurturing experience in line with the principles of natural Chinese medicine.
